Idk if I'm missing something but what was the point of closing the old website just to make a new one a few days later?

Assuming the actual host is taking the site down.. Not the moderators/staff of the forum.

The closure of the old forums was due to the host (curse) closing it down due to revenue loss. It was out of the hands of the admin team that kept the forum going on a day to day basis.
