In what way? We're looking to add sidebars for recent posts/topics etc so it should be fairly similar to IPB 3 but without the bells and whistles.

Idk I feel in this era we should actually do the opposite of what W13 wanted and make some flashy site, but most won't agree most likely lol.

Flashy sites suck ass imo.

I think it would be interesting to see a flashy site. But I feel the nastolgia would be at slight stake.

Not certain. Just a thought.

Though I'm not entirely against the idea at all. It is 2018, and all.
I think simplicity always wins, at least for me. I always get annoyed when Twitter/Facebook/Reddit keep adding stuff
Simplicity is best. As long as it doesn't look horrible. Less to break.
A bold experiment, but it just might work! Big Grin

Really excited to see these new forums. It's a great way for us to all keep in touch, and maybe a smaller board will work wonders towards bringing back a small-town community vibe for those of us who vastly prefer forums.

Long live RSC!  King

Please keep the forum as clean as possible. I've noticed that lately many websites tend to add some blurry elements which makes eyes bleeding.

If it were to be glamorous it would be fun for a week and you would either forget it's there or be annoyed by the style.
I'd still go for the professional look but maybe a fancy looking skin option would suffice and make both ends happy.

I agree, the minimalist/professional style looks best, and for the most part I'm liking what I'm seeing.

To that point, I have to say there are two aspects I'm finding particularly annoying about these new forums:

1. It looks like any links to external sources like Wikipedia, etc. are just taking up giant, centered, square-sized, arbitrarily placed inserts in the post. It really clutters it up.
2. Much less important at this stage, but it seems like some of the signatures are a lot bigger than I remember them being on Zybez. At this early stage, I don't think this should be moderated heavily for existing ones, but are signature sizes otherwise enforced at the setting stage?
