I vastly enjoy the challenge of unlocking content and the measure of difficulty in trying new content from an ironman prospective, no buying bis gear.
Also when it comes to collecting new Armour/Weapons, it is rare with a normal based playing style you would even want to use your time trying to get the killcount for the drops, but the feeling of achievement when getting that item from a drop is something else.
Also as an ironman you take notice of a lot of things within the game like shop stocks, quick gp methods and i do have an alt that earns very nice gp buying bulk from shops no-one usually notices.

So yeah the level of runescape ironman mode opens up has to be one of the best updates.
The grinds are challenging, the ironluck is a real thing though.
The best part of Ironman, especially Hardcore, is seeing the stupid ways in which people die. My friend was trying to collect steel platebodies in the Wilderness and ended up getting one-shot by a Greater Demon.  Hashy
