Top Clans Lists 2018

Hey guys! It's 2018, so time for new topic for top rated clan lists.

Feel free to post your opinion of the Top 10/20/30 clans in RuneScape.

Rather than steal Vene's topic I've gone ahead and added some basic rules for the thread and pinned it, we're going to try out allowing comments on other people's lists in the interest of discussion rather than trying to police adults. If you can't control yourselves we will go back to the old ways of only allowing lists with no discussion. - Wee Man

Rules:

1. DO NOT SPAM.
This includes excessive posting, you shouldn't need to post a list every day or two times a day. If you want to post two lists in such a short time period (for example less than a day) you can simply re-make your list by editing your last post made on the topic.

2 . Report rather then retaliate.
Find a post offensive? Then use the [Report] button at the bottom of that person post, the report WILL be reviewed within a short time and if the person is in the wrong then they will be punished. Rather than causing spam, flames, and trouble for yourself, simply report the post.

3. Be sensible.
This topic is for top lists, not to flame or flame bait another clan. That being said, criticising a clan is not the same as flaming.

4. Do not change clan initials
The changing of clan initials (e.g. DS = BS) is prohibited. Under no circumstances, joking or not, are you to change the given initials of a clan. You are to use their full, appropriate initials (i.e. the initials the clan uses themselves) to avoid your post being perceived as a flame-bait.

Please keep in mind that just because someone puts another clan higher than where you think it should be, it doesn't mean you have to flame them and/or question their judgement. It's their own opinion and you should respect it. These are NOT official lists, these are opinions.

Only rating P2P as F2P is dead. Also not too many Clans left so this might be tough

Top 10:

1. Reign of Terror - Nobody has the #s or organization to beat them at this time. Uncontested.
* FOOLS - Another top tier clan but they aren’t really active in multi wild on a regular basis. However, everyone knows if they decided to be active they can definitely push RoT and are no doubt at least #2.
2. Revenant - Back to where they were earlier this year. Nobody below can beat them in a clean 1v1.
3. Cutthroat - Pretty big memberlist and have a decent core of players to keep them competing in the top tier of clans. Can’t quite match up with 1 or 2, even with a number advantage.
4. Sovereign - Not sure if they should be here or not. I do know they are capable of pulling over 50-60 on a trip. Based of those pulls alone it puts them in a better spot on this list.
5. Renegades - Have a solid memberlist of seasoned PKers here. Pretty sure they multi clan though so it seems like they’re hit or miss with wildy activity.
6. Vanguard - Smaller memberlist but have been making improvements. Can definitely hold their own against almost any clan besides the top 3 due to being at a constant number disadvantage.
7. Playdead - Can probably interchange with 6. Same sized memberlist but different timezone.
8. Divine Forces - Not sure how many they can pull now. If they can muster 40-50 I’d imagine they can push for top 5. I don’t ever see them in the wild besides rag ballista now and then so it’s hard to rank them higher than anyone above.
9. Avalon - Can compete with main clans above, good sized memberlist.
10. Chivalry Legions - Not sure if they’re even active anymore but they are AEST. Hard to rank them against a lot of the above due to time zone.

Clans not quite deserving of a top 10 ranking:

Violent Resolution - Definitely flattened out after their breakup with DK. Seem to have lost so many members that the clan is now beyond repair. Doubt they will close but will just remain a small community based clan that will give a good scrap or two when they have enough #s.
Jaja - They basically died when SV reopened. They have a small dedicated group of raggers who run around crashing fights when they can. After 1-2 deaths in a run in they reduce to nothing.
Vitality - Good for a quick scrap but reduce to rag after a few deaths.
Wildmight - Not active enough in wild for a top 10 consideration but if they could get decent pulls I’m sure they could keep up with them.

May be leaving some out. It’s not without saying the clan world is pretty bare at this point. Sucks to say but that’s how it is.

1. RoT - still
2. Rev/Fools - Rev is #2 but fools still has numbers/quality to compete for this spot when they want
4. SV/CT - SV has improved since opening and CT has slumped so they are lucky to still be considered high
6. PD/RNG - Both share members so they are seen as even.
8. Avalon - Avalon being a rp/tank clan can perform well for their combat disadvantages.
9. Jaja - only because they are out in prime timezones.
10. DF/CL - DF has RoT problems so they can't do much and CL is alive for AEST

2. Rev
3. Sv
Rest dont mattter

[Ryan]

1. ROT
2. Fools (could be Rev but if fools took wild seriously they would be clear cut #2)
3. Rev (see #2 explanation)
4. CT (even through their slump they have some seasoned dedicated PKers though look for this to change if SV picks up traction)
5. SV (could easily take #4 at the rate they are progressing this is assuming they don't go back to their old ways)
6. Renegades (could be serious contenders for spot 4 or 5 if they recruited and took wilderness seriously)
7. Vanguard (have made serious improvements over the past few months though I think due to their ranks they would peak at 5 or 6)
8. Avalon (granted they are a zerk/med clan they have serious quality, if they ever decided to go main assuming their members went with them they could easily push for 4/5 spot)


Honestly anything after those clan and the quality or size drops so much they can't really compete with the above mentioned clans. Hopefully things will get spiced up over the next few months, but who knows.
